Gold Rush Activities at Coloma Resort

CAMPFIRE PROGRAMS
	Students gather around the campfire, and hear a one-hour story presented by a period dressed storyteller. Enjoy the different perspectives of the gold rush days from a Native American, mountain woman, or gold miner.
GOLD PANNING LESSONS
	One on one interactive instruction to small groups of 40 or less. We teach proper panning technique and give a historical perspective. Our instructors teach in a fun, accessible way that brings the activity to life and makes it memorable. Gold salting available for a nominal charge.
POUCH MAKING LESSONS
	Students enjoy a fun craft activity creating a leather pouch they can lace up, decorate, and use as a safe spot to keep their vial of gold.

Overnight Accomodations

TENT CABINS

Wood floors, canvas siding and roof with twin size bunk beds. Electrical hook-ups are available nearby. Accommodates up to 10 people in each tent cabin.

MEETING ROOM

Accommodates groups up to 70 people, has fireplace, air conditioning, full kitchen and BBQ area outside. Great option for schools that want to make their own meals or have the comfort of an indoor gathering place.
